{"id":1508,"date":"2018-06-11T16:27:25","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T16:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakewoodcivic.org\/?p=1508"},"modified":"2018-06-11T16:27:51","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T16:27:51","slug":"lakewood-pool-is-now-open-for-2018-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakewoodcivic.org\/?p=1508","title":{"rendered":"Lakewood Pool is Now Open for 2018 Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><sub>Dear Friends &amp; Neighbors,<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><sub>Lakewood Pool was established in 1948 and is 70 Yrs. old!!! <\/sub><sub>\u00a04 Major hurricanes &#8211; all caused major flooding \u2013 Lakewood pool survived because of volunteers.<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><sub>I wanted to remind you that the Lakewood Pool is now officially open for the 2018 season, to inform you of some of the positive changes we have made and to let you know our operating hours:<\/sub><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><sub>Tuesday thru Saturday &#8211;\u00a0 Noon to 8pm<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>Sunday &#8211; 2pm to 8pm<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>Closed on Mondays for maintenance<\/sub><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><sub>Upgrades:<\/sub><\/strong><sub>\u00a0<\/sub><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><sub>2 &#8211; New Picnic Tables &#8211; We think they look great and hope you will too.\u00a0 <\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>Replaced the east fence and increased the size of the grounds inside the fence (less crowded)<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>Added a couple of dump trucks of limestone in order to keep your vehicle nice and clean when it rains.<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>Added lights and electrical outlets to the Porte Cocheres (Cover over the picnic tables). Especially nice for movie nights and late night parties.<\/sub><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><sub>\u00a0<\/sub><strong><sub>Membership Info:\u00a0 <\/sub><\/strong><strong><sub>2018 rates haven&#8217;t changed in 10+ years!!!<\/sub><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><sub>$190 for family membership<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>$95 for Grandparents (*membership is for Grandparents and Grandkids only).<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>$95 Police officers, Firefighters, Teachers. \u00a0(ID \/ License needed)\u00a0<\/sub><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><sub>Please come by the pool at your convenience to secure your membership.<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><strong><sub>Parties:<\/sub><\/strong><sub> The best value for a party is the Lakewood Pool.\u00a0 We have some availability, we require a $100 deposit to lock in your date.<br \/>\nPricing:<\/sub><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><sub>$40 per hour (normal operating hours) + $3 per person<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>$60 per hour private party (after 8pm and on Mondays)\u00a0 +$3 per person<\/sub><\/li>\n<li><sub>Lifegaurds available for additional $10 per hour<\/sub><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><sub>Please call James to reserve your time and date at 832-541-3505.\u00a0 <\/sub><\/p>\n<p><strong><sub>Movie Night:<\/sub><\/strong><sub>\u00a0 Our goal is to have 2 movie nights this year.\u00a0 They will cost $5 each and you are allowed to bring your own food.\u00a0 Please stay tuned for the dates of the movie nights.<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><strong><sub>Facebook:<\/sub><\/strong><sub>\u00a0 Please like our page &#8220;<\/sub><strong><sub>Lakewood Pool Club, Baytown Texas<\/sub><\/strong><sub>&#8221; for more info and updates.<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><sub>\u00a0<\/sub><strong><sub>Thank you<\/sub><\/strong> <sub>for all your patronage.\u00a0 All of the volunteers work very hard to make this pool something that Lakewood and yourself can be proud of.<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><sub>James Springer<\/sub><\/p>\n<p><sub>P.S.
