Gather all your treasures for the bi-annual Lakewood Community Garage Sale, held on Saturday, April 5th from 8am-2pm. There is no cost, and you set up your garage sale at your house. If you are a LCA member, we have yard signs available on request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"forum\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">ExxonMobil Event Center Forum<\/mark><\/strong> &#8211; April 16<sup>th<\/sup> at 6 pm<br>The ExxonMobil Baytown Events Center and Sterling Library Renovation is in the conceptual design phase, and your input matters. Attend this public forum at the Baytown Community Center to be part of the conversation for this project and for our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"special\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Special Event for LCA Members<\/mark><\/strong> &#8211; April 17<sup>th<\/sup>, starting at 7 pm<br>We have an exciting event to offer our Civic Association members at 510 West. It is a Speakeasy Wine Bar with aerial acts located at 510 West Texas Avenue. The owners, Donovan and Rebecca, hold 7 Guinness World Records and will have two aerials perform for this private event. The LCA will pay for admission (typically $25 &#8211; $50\/person) and we encourage people to purchase at least one drink. They have fine wines, Belgian beers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Each LCA member can bring one guest and space is limited to 35 people. LCA members can registration for this event beginning on April 6<sup>th<\/sup> by emailing the LCA at <a href=\"mailto:lca1_board@lakewoodcivic.org\">lca1_board@lakewoodcivic.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"trees\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">City of Baytown Arbor Day Tree Giveaway<\/mark><\/strong> &#8211; April 24<sup>th<\/sup>, staring at 8 am<br>The City will be giving away 2 free trees per person at the Wetands Center&#8230; No registration is required. Let\u2019s plant some trees in Lakewood to help the environment by absorbing carbon dioxide, releasing oxygen, reducing urban heat, preventing soil erosion, etc. More info can be found at:<a href=\"https:\/\/baytown.org\/calendar.aspx?EID=5928\">Calendar \u2022 Arbor Day<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"oysters\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Oyster Gardening Program Pick-Up<\/mark><\/strong> \u2013 April 30<sup>th<\/sup>, 4 pm \u2013 6 pm<br>Would you like to grow oysters to help clean up the water in our bays? The Galveston Bay Foundation has an oyster gardening program to grow oysters along our bayfront. If you have a residence on Burnet Bay, access to waterfront, or want to help a bayfront resident grow oysters, please register for this event at: <a href=\"https:\/\/volunteer.galvbay.org\/need\/detail\/?need_id=1195915\">2026: Trinity Bay Discovery Center Oyster Garden Creation Event | Galveston Bay Foundation<\/a> This event is being held at the Trinity Bay Discovery Center in Beach City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"meeting\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Lakewood Annual Meeting &amp; Boat Club Registration<\/mark><\/strong> \u2013 May 5<sup>th<\/sup><br>The Lakewood Civic Association Annual Meeting will be held on May 5th at the Baytown Fire Training Center located at 7022 Bayway Drive, which is just across the street from our subdivision. New keys for the <strong>Boat Club<\/strong> will be distributed from 6 \u2013 7 pm. At 6:30 we have invited both candidates running for our district\u2019s Texas House of Representatives at 6:30 pm. The <strong>annual meeting<\/strong> will be held from 7 \u2013 8:30 pm with guest speaker City Manager Jason Reynolds. This meeting will be a great opportunity to learn more about what&#8217;s coming to Baytown and to our neighborhood, plus a chance to have questions answered. Send us any questions you would like City Manager Reynolds to address and we will forward them to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All Lakewood subdivision residents are invited to attend.
