Good Neighbor Award

To recognize Lakewood residents who help their neighbors and keep our neighborhood looking nice, the LCA in conjunction with Lakewood Neighbrhood Watch (LNW) is instituting a “Good Neighbor Award”. This distinction will be awarded on a quarterly basis and recognized with a yard sign and a gift card. All meaningful submissions will also be highlighted on this website.

Some examples of good deeds are picking up trash in the Lakewood, helping a neighbor with yard work or house repairs, checking in on elderly neighbors, helping someone change a flat tire, etc.

The criteria for the Good Neighbor Award is:

  • The nominee must be a Lakewood resident
  • The good deed must have taken place in Lakewood
  • The nomination must include contact info for both the nominee and the nominator
  • The nomination must include a detailed description of the good deed
  • Photos are encouraged
  • Preference will be given to LCA members
  • LCA Board and LNW Board members are excluded from receiving the award but can receive recognition on this website
