The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 124 Post Oak, home of Dell and Suzi Cantrell as Yard of the Month for July 2026. Assorted shrubs in varying shades of green bank the front of the home, with neatly trimmed conical shaped trees adding a nice symmetrical feature. Beautiful Caladiums in shades of variegated pinks and reds are planted throughout offering pops of color with a most pleasant, cooling view. Large Crepe Myrtle trees provide nice shade.
Lakewood Garden Club’s selection for June 2026 Yard of the Month is 208 Hackberry, home of Imelda Florez. Walking through the yard is reminiscent of an English Garden, with bright hues of orange, yellow, pink, purple and red gracing the yard with marigolds, roses, zinnias, petunias and every variety of flower imaginable. Hanging floral baskets complete the colorful display. Much time and care has gone into creating the masterpiece, truly a delight to view
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 196 N Burnett, home of Kelly and Marianne Tucker as Yard of the Month for May. The home’s set back placement on the lot allows a large planting area in the center of the lawn. Yellow and orange day lillies,purple salvia, along with assorted colorful plants andgreenery highlight the area. Additionally to the right of the drive there is a planting area featuring the orange and yellow day lillies and various plants with a bench seating for those quiet moments, offering a most peaceful setting.
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 209 Post Oak, home of Kyle and Martha Fullick, as the April Yard of the Month. The lawn is very neatly landscaped with newly planted white Vincas bordering the sidewalk leading to a peaceful garden setting at the front entrance. Massive bushes of brightly colored pink Peggy Martin roses create a most beautiful display in front of the circle drive.Additional coral colored rose bushes complement the most pleasant setting.
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 124 Rolling Wood , home of Melissa and David James as the Yard of the Month for January 2026. Pink Camellia bushes and Pink Mist Roses grace the front of the home along with various plants in assorted shades of green complete the pleasant, neatly manicured setting.
The winners of the 2025 Light-Up Lakewood have been chosen by the Lakewood Garden Club Committee. Winners are selected by a scoring system and must not have been selected in the past 4 years. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all those who have brightened the neighborhood with all the beautiful lights!

The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 107 Red Bud Ln., Home of Jean Gammel as Yard of the Month for November. Brightly colored Vincas in shades of peach, coral, pink, red and white are planted along the walkway entrance to the home, accented by red roses. A most pleasant display of colors to greet you.
Lakewood Garden Club has selected 103 N Burnett as Yard of the Month for October, home of Sherry Duncan.
The gentle rolling terrain lends a peaceful setting, with abundant blue Plumbago flanking the sidewalk, against a contrasting backdrop of orchid salvia. A large lush green tropical completes the most pleasant view.
The Lakewood GardenClub has selected 406 Rollingwood, home of Annette and George Sceets as September Yard of the Month.
The front of the home is banked with a beautiful display of variegated pink and white caladiums mixed with brightly colored Vincas. Assorted shades of greenery complete the landscaping offering a pleasant cooling view.
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected the Floyd residence at 125 N Burnett as Yard of the Month for August. Plantings of large brightly colored zinnias flank the driveway entrance and continue into the courtyard of the home. Variegated greenery and additional colorful zinnias complete the landscape along the wrought iron fencing creating a most beautiful display.
