The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 107 Red Bud Ln., Home of Jean Gammel as Yard of the Month for November. Brightly colored Vincas in shades of peach, coral, pink, red and white are planted along the walkway entrance to the home, accented by red roses. A most pleasant display of colors to greet you.
Lakewood Garden Club has selected 103 N Burnett as Yard of the Month for October, home of Sherry Duncan.
The gentle rolling terrain lends a peaceful setting, with abundant blue Plumbago flanking the sidewalk, against a contrasting backdrop of orchid salvia. A large lush green tropical completes the most pleasant view.
The Lakewood GardenClub has selected 406 Rollingwood, home of Annette and George Sceets as September Yard of the Month.
The front of the home is banked with a beautiful display of variegated pink and white caladiums mixed with brightly colored Vincas. Assorted shades of greenery complete the landscaping offering a pleasant cooling view.
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected the Floyd residence at 125 N Burnett as Yard of the Month for August. Plantings of large brightly colored zinnias flank the driveway entrance and continue into the courtyard of the home. Variegated greenery and additional colorful zinnias complete the landscape along the wrought iron fencing creating a most beautiful display.
Lakewood subdivision’s newest home build, owned by Pamela Boone, was selected as Yard of the Month for July by the Lakewood Garden Club committee. A variety of brightly colored flowers in a raised bed flank the staircase entrance of the home, accented with a beautiful peacock sculpture.
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected 121 Post Oak, home of Pam and Ty Zycha, as June 2025 Yard of the Month. The yard is filled with bright hues of blues, pinks, yellow, lavenders and reds, with whimsical statues placed throughout, and a magical rabbit standing guard..The adjoining yard features caladiums under the shade trees, making it a cooling retreat. The beautiful palate provides a most pleasing view
“A Taste of Italy” was the theme for the Lakewood Garden Club’s recent luncheon and officer installation held at Wooster Baptist Church.
Backdrops of Italian scenery, red check tablecloths and table arrangements with baskets of colorful candle drip bottles , grapes, fruits, vegetables and various Italian items completed the decorations of the lovely luncheon catered by Antonio’s of Baytown.

The selection for May Lakewood Yard of the Month is 118 N. Holly, home of Dania Flores. Hybrid gardenias border the driveway and front of the home, with a bed of white roses surrounding the mailbox. Pink knockout roses add a pop of color to the neatly landscaped yard.
The Lakewood Garden Club has selected the home of Lynne and Dan Foley , 204 Post Oak as April “Yard of the Month.” Shades of light and dark greenery varieties bank the front of the home with pops of color mixed in, accented by a lush green lawn, making it a very manicured and beautiful display.
