Link to the meeting minutes of the Lakewood Civic association annual meeting: May 14, 2019 Minutes There were about 50 people in attendance.

The LCA board will not meet in May because there is a LCA annual meeting the following week on May 14, 2019 @ 7PM at Lakewood Church of Christ.

In the weeks following the annual meeting, a board meeting will be scheduled around the availability of the members of the new board to ensure all are present to elect officers. At that meeting the future routine board meetings will then be set and published shortly afterwards.

Renewal and new memberships for the Lakewood Civic Association (LCA) Boat Club are accepted beginning at 6PM before the LCA annual meeting on May 14, 2019.

New keys will be issued and after the LCA meeting the lock at the launch gate will be changed.

Sea Scout Nate Gifford installed a new sign for the Lakewood Boat Club launch as a part of his Eagle Scout project. Nate took the LCA plans and organized the construction of the sign using LCA funds. Nate and his fellow crew members of Sea Scout Ship 208 did a great job with the new sign. We thank Nate for his service and wish him success on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Baytown Junior School students completed a 5K color run and 3K walk through Lakewood on Saturday, March 30, 2019. As the runners passed stations they were showered with different colored powder. The run was a fundraiser for Girls Athletics at Baytown Junior School. Thanks to everyone who helped out with this event!
