Start Decorating in Lakewood for the Christmas season!

Judging is scheduled for the evening of Monday, December 16^th.

The Lakewood Garden Club has selected the home of Sam and Joanne Springer at 118 Caldwell St. as the October Yard of the Month. Established oak trees and several species of young trees ground this yard. Rocks border gardens of Mexican heather, marigolds, cosmos, and shrubs of azaleas, knockout roses, and hibiscus. Near the front door is a display of pumpkins, crotons, and mums.

The Lakewood Garden Club has selected the home of Susan Mohnke at 303 Post Oak as September Yard of the Month. The graceful entry is flanked by sculpted azaleas and Indian hawthorn; African daisies and vincas provide lively color. Flanking the driveway are ixoria in full bright orange bloom.

The Lakewood Garden Club has chosen the home of David and Nancy Duncan at 304 Oak Haven St. as the August Yard of the Month. Mature trees and sculpted shrubs are accented by blooming crepe myrtles and bright yellow lantana.
