The Lakewood Garden Club has chosen the home of Jim and Sue Seth at 217 Burnet as February Yard of the Month. The grand entry is accented with several varieties of palms. Also notable in the yard are juniper, sculpted shrubs, different types of grasses, and Hawaiian Ti.

The Lakewood Garden Club has selected the home of Mrs. Jean Gammel at 107 Red Bud Lane as January Yard of the Month. Notable bushes include several large camelias in full bloom, azaleas, and nandinas. Blooming bedding plants of begonias, pansies, and sweet allysum accent this lovely yard.

The Lakewood Garden Club chosen the home of John and Connie Hooper at 106 Caldwell Street as the November Yard of the Month.
Lovely large oak trees grace this yard which features several varieties of roses, grasses, potato vine, and pruned shrubs.

The Lakewood Garden Club has chosen the home of Joe and Maribel Estrada at 227 Burnet as the October Yard of the Month. Landscaping notables include
lantana, blue plumbago, gold star esperanza, vincas, ornamental grasses, and several varieties of fern. Situated on a corner lot, this yard features a gazebo
with seating and a fireplace.

The Lakewood Garden Club has chosen the home of Sheri Duncan and Randy St Clair at 103 North Burnet Drive  as the September Yard of the Month. This lovely yard features mature trees and many drought-tolerant plants and shrubs. Most notable are the blue plumbego which compliment the color of the house. Accenting these are large leaf philodendrons, small palms, vincas, purple vitex, blue sage, and ornamental grasses.

Lakewood Pool schedule for the rest of the summer is listed below – our LAST DAY to be open in 2012 is Labor Day Sept 3rd, 12-6pm.

Lakewood Garden Club has selected the home of Aaron and Kim Featherstone at 110 Honeysuckle as the August Yard of the Month. The yard is characterized by mature trees, azaleas, hanging baskets of fern, hibiscus, vincas, and several shades of knockout roses.

Lakewood Garden Club has selected the home of Tom and Rita Hard at 214 Post Oak as the July Yard of the Month. Large oak trees and an inviting bench near the driveway are accented by beautifully mulched flower beds containing lantana, ixoria, petunias, impatients, periwinkles, and decorative grasses. Large Hawaiian Ti plants in pots line the carport.
