Charles Murray pictured in photo is truly inspirational. Living at 503 North Burnett he maintains his 1.3 acre property with heartfelt care. Charles and his wife Ann bought the home 48 years ago from a Doctor Scott who had built it. Charles has carefully created focal points and seated areas sure to delight any visitor.

107 Red Bud owned by the Gammel’s exemplifies a pure devotion to gardening. Many of us wish we could have our yards looking so good during the best of flowering months. Hats off to Jean who is the master gardener of the house.

217 Wildwood reminds the passerby of all the colorful effects we associate with this season of gratitude. Owned by the Holts since 1970 Loretta is a former member of the Garden Club who takes deep pride in tending to her yard.

306 Lakewood sits on a welcoming corner calling to the onlooker “there is no place like home.” Owned by Bobbie and Charlie Blanchard since 1994 they plainly have a knack for adding all the “right touches”.

The Lakewood Yard of the Month of September 2017 is 113 Lakewood Dr., home of  Jo Ellen and Tommy Coker. The Coker’s colorful yard was the final selection for its use of colors, texture, and warmth it exudes.   It looks and feels just like home!

The Lakewood Garden Club has chosen the yard of Trary Slaughter and John Minto at 409 Rollingwood Dr. as the yard of the month for August. This large yard is in a beautiful setting and very welcoming.

The Lakewood Garden Club has chosen the home of Sam & Joanne Springer at 118 Caldwell as the Lakewood Yard of the Month for July. The shaded bed around a group of trees is accented with potted planters of caladiums and whimsical statuary.
