SUMMER KICKOFF PARTY – Volunteers Needed

The Lakewood Civic Association in conjunction with the Lakewood Pool will be sponsoring a Summer Kickoff Party on May 25th. It will be a fun day to meet your neighbors, with free swimming and other activities. If you are interested in helping plan this event please comment or send me a Private Message. I’ll set up a meeting for the volunteers. Thank you.
Lakewood Pool is Now Open for 2018 Season

Dear Friends & Neighbors,
Lakewood Pool was established in 1948 and is 70 Yrs. old!!! 4 Major hurricanes – all caused major flooding – Lakewood pool survived because of volunteers.
I wanted to remind you that the Lakewood Pool is now officially open for the 2018 season, to inform you of some of the positive changes we have made and to let you know our operating hours:
- Tuesday thru Saturday – Noon to 8pm
- Sunday – 2pm to 8pm
- Closed on Mondays for maintenance
Upgrades:
- 2 – New Picnic Tables – We think they look great and hope you will too.
- Replaced the east fence and increased the size of the grounds inside the fence (less crowded)
- Added a couple of dump trucks of limestone in order to keep your vehicle nice and clean when it rains.
- Added lights and electrical outlets to the Porte Cocheres (Cover over the picnic tables). Especially nice for movie nights and late night parties.
Membership Info: 2018 rates haven’t changed in 10+ years!!!
- $190 for family membership
- $95 for Grandparents (*membership is for Grandparents and Grandkids only).
- $95 Police officers, Firefighters, Teachers. (ID / License needed)
Please come by the pool at your convenience to secure your membership.
Parties: The best value for a party is the Lakewood Pool. We have some availability, we require a $100 deposit to lock in your date.
Pricing:
- $40 per hour (normal operating hours) + $3 per person
- $60 per hour private party (after 8pm and on Mondays) +$3 per person
- Lifegaurds available for additional $10 per hour

Movie Night: Our goal is to have 2 movie nights this year. They will cost $5 each and you are allowed to bring your own food. Please stay tuned for the dates of the movie nights.

Lakewood Pool Open, 2017 – Cooler Raffle

Dear Neighbors,
I wanted to drop you a note to remind you that the Lakewood Pool is now officially open for the 2017 season, to inform you of some of the positive changes we have made and to let you know our operating hours:
- Tuesday thru Saturday – Noon to 8pm
- Sunday – 2pm to 8pm
- Closed on Mondays for maintenance
Upgrades: In the picture attached, you will see the new look:
- New 4 Sided Picnic Tables – We think they look great and hope you will too.
- Added Porte Cochere by the baby pool (Cover over the picnic tables).
- Replaced Porte Cocheres on both sides of the pool. They are a major improvement and will protect our users in case of unexpected rain and from the overhead sun.
Membership Info: The best news is that we were able to do the above while keeping our 2017 rates the same in last 10+ years!!!
- $190 for family membership (2 adults + children)
- $95 for Grandparents, firefighters, police officers, teachers
Please come by the pool at your convenience to secure your membership (forms are at the pool, cash or check please).
Raffle: We will have our first raffle. We are raffling off this cooler in the attached picture and a free membership or party for 2017. Tickets are $5 each and there is no limit to how many you can buy. Tickets are at the pool. The drawing will be held this coming Sunday June 4th.
Parties: We are filling up fast but there is some availability for you to host a party at our pool.

Lakewood Pool schedule for the rest of the summer is listed below – our LAST DAY to be open in 2012 is Labor Day Sept 3rd, 12-6pm.
We are open this week and weekend as usual.
Closed Monday – Thursday 8/27 – 8/30
Open Fri 8/31 @ 4pm – LAST movie night for the summer @ 8pm!!! (title to be decided)
Open Sat Sept 1st from 12-8pm
Open Sun Sept 2nd 2-8pm
Open Monday Sept 3rd (Labor Day 12-6pm) – come enjoy hot dogs, chips, drinks, candy, etc (we need to sell all our concessions!!!)
