Community Garage Sale – April 4th, 10 am – 2 pm.
IT’S SPRING-CLEANING TIME! Gather all your treasures for the bi-annual Lakewood Community Garage Sale, held on Saturday, April 5th from 8am-2pm. There is no cost, and you set up your garage sale at your house. If you are a LCA member, we have yard signs available on request.

ExxonMobil Event Center Forum – April 16th at 6 pm
The ExxonMobil Baytown Events Center and Sterling Library Renovation is in the conceptual design phase, and your input matters. Attend this public forum at the Baytown Community Center to be part of the conversation for this project and for our community.

Special Event for LCA Members – April 17th, starting at 7 pm
We have an exciting event to offer our Civic Association members at 510 West. It is a Speakeasy Wine Bar with aerial acts located at 510 West Texas Avenue. The owners, Donovan and Rebecca, hold 7 Guinness World Records and will have two aerials perform for this private event. The LCA will pay for admission (typically $25 – $50/person) and we encourage people to purchase at least one drink. They have fine wines, Belgian beers, and non-alcoholic drinks. Each LCA member can bring one guest and space is limited to 35 people. LCA members can registration for this event beginning on April 6th by emailing the LCA at lca1_board@lakewoodcivic.org

City of Baytown Arbor Day Tree Giveaway – April 24th, staring at 8 am
The City will be giving away 2 free trees per person at the Wetands Center… No registration is required. Let’s plant some trees in Lakewood to help the environment by absorbing carbon dioxide, releasing oxygen, reducing urban heat, preventing soil erosion, etc. More info can be found at:Calendar • Arbor Day

Oyster Gardening Program Pick-Up – April 30th, 4 pm – 6 pm
Would you like to grow oysters to help clean up the water in our bays? The Galveston Bay Foundation has an oyster gardening program to grow oysters along our bayfront. If you have a residence on Burnet Bay, access to waterfront, or want to help a bayfront resident grow oysters, please register for this event at: 2026: Trinity Bay Discovery Center Oyster Garden Creation Event | Galveston Bay Foundation This event is being held at the Trinity Bay Discovery Center in Beach City.

Lakewood Annual Meeting & Boat Club Registration – May 5th
The Lakewood Civic Association Annual Meeting will be held on May 5th at the Baytown Fire Training Center located at 7022 Bayway Drive, which is just across the street from our subdivision. New keys for the Boat Club will be distributed from 6 – 7 pm. At 6:30 we have invited both candidates running for our district’s Texas House of Representatives at 6:30 pm. The annual meeting will be held from 7 – 8:30 pm with guest speaker City Manager Jason Reynolds. This meeting will be a great opportunity to learn more about what’s coming to Baytown and to our neighborhood, plus a chance to have questions answered. Send us any questions you would like City Manager Reynolds to address and we will forward them to him.

All Lakewood subdivision residents are invited to attend. We hope to see you there.

Lakewood Pool Club
233 Greenbriar – Baytown Open weekends starting Memorial Weekend

Lakewood Pool Work Day – May 2nd
Come out and help get the Lakewood Pool ready for another great season. Assistance is needed in trimming trees, cleaning the pool house and pressure washing table and chairs.

Free Swim & Summer Kick-off Party – May 23rd
Thanks to a generous donation from ExxonMobil Family Memberships will still only be $199 for the summer! Grandparent memberships are available for $125. Plus the pool will be available for party rentals. Call/text James @ 832-541-3505 for more info and pool availability for party rental. Also, ExxonMobil is funding food from Someburger at this event.
